Kate Corkery Kate joined Ostroff, Hiffa & Associates in October of 2011 with a diverse background in government and politics. Prior to joining the firm Kate served as Legislative Director for the Government Affairs practice at Wilson, Elser, Moskowitz, Edelman & Dicker, LLP. Kate monitored legislation, regulations and media for clients spanning a wide variety of issue areas including health care, higher education, tourism, transportation, insurance, racing and gaming, accounting, aging, pharmaceuticals and energy.During her career with the New York State Senate, Kate worked as a Legislative Aide to Senator Jim Alesi, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Economic Development and Small Business. In addition, Kate worked as a Session Assistant and Legislative Assistant during college for Senator Joseph E. Robach, who at that time served as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Civil Service & Pensions. Following her tenure at the New York State Senate, Kate worked as Deputy Finance Director of the New York State Senate Republican Campaign Committee. Her responsibilities included maintaining campaign finance data, assisting in the planning of fundraisers, coordinating volunteers and organizing campaign activities. Kate holds an M.S. degree in Organization Management from the School of Management at Sage Graduate School and her B.A. in Political Science from the State University of New York at Albany.
